Real Viagra vs. generic Viagra

The difference between a brand name medication and a generic medication is not the active ingredient but only its name, shape and price. A generic drug is usually named after the active chemical ingredient it is made of. A brand name is used by the manufacturers of the original product. However, a manufacturer cannot own a patent for a chemical agent. This allows manufacturers to legally produce generic medications. The chemical composition is the same as that in the name brand and only what they call the “binding agents” are different. The generics should produce the same effect in the men who use them. This is not always officially proven, however, most men choose generic Viagra because it is cheaper than real Viagra.
